About Emily Vartanian-Tuttle, Owner of Emily Kirke PhotoGraphy

I'm a photographer and serial entrepreneur, working globally and based in New York and Connecticut. I was trained at the International Center of Photography and also hold degrees in graphic design and fashion merchandising.

I started this business because it felt like the perfect confluence of all my passions. My love for editorial photography and design greatly influences my work, resulting in day-of pictures that feel like something more than just wedding photos. I'm a true minimalist and love shooting at intimate restaurants, farms, old mansions that nature has begun to reclaim, converted warehouses with history and character, private homes, and other venues that feel unique and personal to you.

My goal for every wedding and session is to document the love that you share in an honest, fresh, and collaborative way. Holistic storytelling is at the heart of what I do, and we work together to create images that are organic and reflective of who you really are together.

I’ve lived in Vermont, Philadelphia, London, and Brooklyn and currently reside in a small town an hour outside Manhattan with my husband, Jeremy, our baby daughter, and our puppy. Our favorite thing to do together is travel and fully embrace the food, hikes, and traditions wherever we go.

Reality is beautiful. Each shoot is a little different because every couple is beautifully unique. My portraits are mood-influenced and ever-evolving to capture the intricacies of your connection together. 

Photography and good design go together. Everything from your photo shoot to your album and online gallery should be stylishly designed and minimalist so that your connection is what shines through.

Every photo collection is a valuable heirloom. Looking at your images and seeing exactly where you were in that moment in your relationship is irreplaceable.

Love is love. If you're into what I do, I want to work with you. I'm honored to shoot all kinds of wedding ceremonies, elopements, and creative couples and families.

Social responsibility is good business. When I can reduce my impact on the environment at weddings, I do. I deliver my photos online versus a thumb drive and donate 1% of yearly sales to both Wild Earth Allies and EESI. My printing company is FSC® Certified, solar-powered, and ships using boxes made under the Sustainable Forest Initiative.
