Meet Molly, our new studio manager

Molly's from Savannah and is a big fan of palm leaves, live music, and strong dark cocktails... a girl after my own heart.

When I started Emily Kirke Photography in 2015, I was fully prepared to go it alone. I had a specific vision for the studio and knew that I wanted it to feel personal, like having your friend document your wedding. But as I was blessed with more and more work, I realized that the personalization that I so loved was getting put on the back burner. I no longer had time to respond to everyone with the care and attention to detail that I wanted and my artistic development (workshops, learning, and such) started to take a backseat too. So it was with a lot of careful thought, research, and a chat with one of my favorite photogs, Kristen Marie Parker, who had recently taken on an assistant, that I hired Molly part-time.

Molly is a gentle soul who embodies all the warmth and kindness that I had envisioned for my studio when I opened. She's been working for me the past couple months and many of you may have already chatted with her. After weeks of training, she knows my process and workflow and I feel so confident that she's hooking you up with a feel-good, organized experience from the moment you reach out.

It was so hard to relinquish any control over Emily Kirke Photography, but I'm so happy I did. These days, you can find me soaking up creative lighting videos, working on personal projects, collaborating with other artists, and taking photo workshops in Brooklyn. In letting go just a bit, I've become a better photographer for myself, my couples, and for my dog, who is really psyched that I finally figured out her best angle. xx
